Cabbage is another crop that benefits from starting your seeds, 1/4 inch deep, indoors 8-10 weeks and setting out 4 weeks prior to last frost ( gives them 4-6 weeks growing time before setting out). It is a cool weather crop and can stand some frost. I plant one plant per square foot in the square foot beds.
