Mayflower Pole Bean seed. The Mayflower Pole Bean was another interesting item in the 2008 trials here. It was a very productive pole bean best used as a shell bean or dried bean. It is a fairly short pod but fills out nicely.
 This bean is said to have been brought over on the Mayflower in 1620 and maintained in the Carolinas. A historical bean that is worth growing. 90-100 days.
